National Institute of Intellectual Property
On April 23, 2026, the National Institute of Intellectual Property (Kazpatent) conducted an online seminar on the topics “Patent protection of inventions and utility models” and “Requirements for filing trademark applications” for coordinators of the national TISC networks and staff of Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov (hereinafter – the university).
The Astana International Financial Centre (hereinafter - AIFC) has been a participant in the TISC project since September 15, 2025, implemented under the coordination of Kazpatent, and AIFC is actively developing services in the field of intellectual property. Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov joined the TISC project in April of this year and takes part in training seminars, demonstrating a strong interest in improving knowledge and qualifications in the field of intellectual property management.
Representatives of Kazpatent covered key issues related to patenting inventions and utility models, and also explained the requirements for filing trademark applications. During the seminar, participants actively engaged by asking questions.
The seminar was aimed at strengthening cooperation between Kazpatent and the national networks of TISCs at the AIFC and Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University.
