National Institute of Intellectual Property
In 2026, the Summer School is being held for the fifth time and will bring together students, young professionals, government officials, researchers and practitioners in the field of intellectual property.
The venue of the event is the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which celebrates its 80th anniversary this year. The Academy is a key scientific center of the country, shaping the intellectual and research agenda of Kazakhstan, and the holding of the WIPO Summer School on its site underlines the continuity of scientific traditions and the development of international cooperation.
The program provides participants with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of key aspects of intellectual property, as well as to familiarize themselves with the role and activities of WIPO.
The training combines theoretical and practical components and includes lectures by leading international and national experts, case studies from law enforcement practice, interactive sessions, as well as group work aimed at developing applied skills in the field of intellectual property.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants who have fulfilled all the requirements of the program are issued an official WIPO certificate. To receive it, you must attend at least 80% of the curriculum and actively participate in discussions and group work. Taking into account the hybrid format, participants are advised to take into account the time zone in advance to participate in online sessions lasting 6-8 hours.
